Acupuncture is an ancient, therapy that started in 200 B.C., with the use of small stones and has graduated to modern day use of sterile, disposable, thin needle filaments. They are inserted into the meridians (energy lines) of the body according to the client’s presenting symptoms. The number of needles will vary in any given treatment. They are generally removed in 30 minutes. Acupuncture is used preventatively, as well as for pain reduction, acute and chronic diseases and conditions. An initial session takes 2 hours. Follow-up sessions take 1hour to 11/2 hours.
Five Phase Acupuncture for adults and children. For pediatrics a “Taichin” needle is used. It is thick with a ball on the end and a thick point on the other. The needle does not penetrate the skin. Pressure is added to the appropriate points. The children tolerate it very well.

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. This hands-on practice was re-discovered by a Japanese monk, Dr. Mikao Usui, while studying the sacred sutras in the late 1800’s. The Reiki energy is transferred through meditation and touch from the Reiki master to the student. Demonstration, information and practice follow. Anyone can learn and practice this simple, healing art form. The Reiki practitioner, using breath and intention, conveys the energy through her hands to the client. The results provide deep relaxation and healing to one’s mental, physical, emotional and spiritual being.
Reiki classes are available at all levels. Classes in Reiki with Sacred Stones are also available to level 2 and Master level practitioners.
